The 80,000-square-foot facility opened in 1998 and features permanent exhibits like Adventure Expeditions, where kids travel back to Egypt circa 1920, and KidWorks, a three-story “urban treehouse” meant for climbing, crawling, jumping and sliding. Next weekend is a long one in Baltimore, with schools and many offices closed on Monday, and an even longer one in Baltimore County, where schools are closed on Tuesday, as well.
