Healthy First Saturday
Saturday, January 7
Kick off the new year today with healthy activities designed to exercise your body and mind! Get active with yoga for youngsters, get KinderFit! with the Kindersinger, and visit with specially trained hearing, service and therapy dogs from FIDOS for Freedom!
Sundays in January
Enjoy fun, family-friendly activities at Port Discovery every Sunday, including interactive programs that get kids of all ages involved! Each Sunday features a different line-up of activities, from interactive story times and art projects to music time in our Percussion Garden and Jingle Jangle Music Time.

Wednesdays in January

Do you have a child who’s under six? Join us every Wednesday morning for special programs designed for early learners ages 6 and under, including Mother Goose on the Loose story time, Jingle Jangle Music Time, Scooter Mania, and more! These programs help develop early learning skills and are lots of fun for babies, toddlers and adults!

Sunday, January 14 – Monday, January 16
Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and legacy during our fun-filled “I Have a Dream” Weekend. Join the Baltimore African-American quilters to make a take-home quilt, see memorabilia from the Negro Baseball League, get active with Brick Nation, and enjoy other activities that will teach children about Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Dream.

Enjoy special activities and all three floors of Port Discovery for just $2! Bring family and friends to Port Discovery for a fun family date night and enjoy an adventurous evening for just $2 (that’s more than $12 off our general admission cost).
Saturday, January 21 & Sunday, January 22
All aboard! Thomas & Friends arrives at Port Discovery on January 21st! Climb aboard Thomas’ cab, suit up as the conductor, load luggage, livestock and other freight into train cars & more. Thanks to local sponsors CSX and M&T Bank, Thomas & Friends™: Explore the Rails exhibit will come to town with lots of interactive fun and learning.
Thomas & Friends(TM): Explore the Rails! will be at Port Discovery from Saturday, January 21st through Sunday, May 7th.
Saturday, January 28
Stay warm while learning through fun and play at Port Discovery! What could be more fun than roaming music, kid-friendly yoga, fun pop-up science and art projects, and interactive story times?
Also not to miss? A special interactive version of “The Little Engine That Could” by Watty Piper. This play, featured for a limited run thanks to special permission from Penguin Random House, is filled with colorful costumes, special sound effects, and and a timeless tale that kids themselves get to help tell!
Saturday, February 4
Commemorate the Year of the Rooster and participate in traditions surrounding the Chinese New Year celebration. Enjoy the Chinese Lion Dancers performing the traditional lion dance, dancers from the Gina Ling Dance troupe, and special activities including festive dragon and rooster themed art projects, Chinese New Year Lucky Charms, calligraphy and chopstick training, and much more.
Saturday, February 4 | 6 to 9PM
Love is in the air at Port Discovery! Join us for a special evening of Valentine’s-themed fun and make heartwarming memories with your children. Dance along to tunes from DJ Holly, create Valentine’s crafts and art projects, and explore three floors of fun exhibits that are sure to get your heart pumping. Food and beverages included.
Admission is $18 for members; $20 for non-members. Tickets go on sale next week!
