Sons: Seeing the Modern African American Male Now on view through Spring 2017 Sons are more than a photographic study of the modern African American male. It is also an examination of how African American men are perceived. The exhibition asks visitors to compare their perceptions to reality, journeying through four parts of the gallery. Section one is a brief introduction, followed by “Perceptions,” in which visitors are presented with images of African American men. Next weekend is a long one in Baltimore, with schools and many offices closed on Monday, and an even longer one in Baltimore County, where schools are closed on Tuesday, as well. It’s also an eventful and thoughtful weekend. On Monday, January 16, the city of Baltimore will honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with several events, including a parade, now in its 17th year. The parade begins at noon, starting at the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Eutaw Street. It will then head south on MLK and disband at Baltimore Street. Line up anywhere
