It’s Preakness Season in Baltimore! The absence of Maximum Security and Country House – the disqualified and official winners of the Kentucky Derby – means there’s no chance for a Triple Crown winner (official or otherwise) after this year’s race. But Saturday, May 18 is sure to still be an exciting day in Baltimore. The 144th Preakness Stakes will be run at 6:48 p.m. at Pimlico Race Course. There will be races all day long, plus tons of color commentary on TV. Plan ahead to make sure you’ve got a great spot to watch the race – and everything else that goes along with it.Read More →

A painting of three people standing in front of an orange background.

Downtown Baltimore got a surprise this April, with the reveal of a large format work of art affixed to the side of Harbor Park Garage, a parking garage located at 55 Market Place. The artwork, which is visible from the Jones Falls Expressway, is a custom piece by artist Edie Beaucage.   What is the art? The piece is a 70-foot tall vinyl banner based on a series of paintings created and digitized by Beaucage. The banner is indicative of Beaucage’s signature style. It is vibrant, with broad, visible brushstrokes conveying action and energy, and light, bright colors. Because it is on vinyl, the workRead More →
