She is the lead ship of the Zumwalt class and the first ship to be named for Admiral Elmo Zumwalt. Zumwalt has stealth capabilities, having a radar cross-section akin to a fishing boat despite her large size. On 7 December 2015, Zumwalt began her sea trial preparatory to joining the Pacific Fleet. The Maryland Department of Commerce and partners welcome the U.S. Navy Blue Angels to Maryland to announce their return to Baltimore, October 15-16, 2016.  The air show will take place during the inaugural Maryland Fleet Week and Air Show Baltimore, a free 6-day festival celebrating the rich naval traditions of the Chesapeake Bay and the contributions of Marylanders to the defense of the nation.
