Music lovers are in for a treat on Friday evening, February 5th, when the Baltimore Aquarium celebrates Black history with a live jazz performance! Remember Baltimore’s acclaimed jazz clubs? The Aquarium will honor that tradition by transporting visitors back in time to the days of the jazz greats in Baltimore, but with the added bonus of being surrounded by sea-going creatures! How great is that?

Wine and beer will be available (for those twenty-one or over), and visitors will be able to see the amazing Aquarium exhibits in addition to experiencing top notch jazz. This is a family friendly event, so bring the whole family if you like, or just bring your special someone, and experience the Baltimore Aquarium in a completely new way!

Thanks to M&T Bank, one of the Aquarium’s generous sponsors, tickets for the Aquarium are half off of the general admission price Fridays after 5 pm, including this Black History event. You can buy tickets on site, or better yet, get tickets in advance at www.aqua.org/tickets.

The National Aquarium is truly a national treasure, boasting a living collection of more than 20,000 fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and marine mammals who take up residence in fascinating and award-winning habitats. There are many exciting events to choose from, but don’t miss this one of a kind Black History Month Celebration!
