From February 24–28, 2026, Baltimore’s downtown transforms into a vibrant hub of athletic competition, cultural celebration, and community engagement during the 2026 Food Lion CIAA Men’s & Women’s Basketball Tournament.
Hosted at CFG Bank Arena and around key downtown venues, this annual event honors HBCU pride, community unity, and Black excellence in sports, music, and education.
Official Tournament Basketball Games
The centerpiece of CIAA week is, of course, the exhilarating on-court action, including both the Men’s & Women’s Championship Tournaments, featuring 22 fast-paced matchups among the CIAA’s historic member institutions.
The tournament runs Feb. 24–28, with tip-off starting each day. The lineup includes semifinals and the championship finals.
But the CIAA Tournament isn’t just basketball. It’s a full-on cultural experience including parties, entertainment, workshops and more.
Star-Studded Entertainment
The CIAA tournament draws big names from the music industry, with performances from:
2Chainz: Grammy-winning hip-hop superstar will headline high-energy performances and parties during the tournament weekend.
Mýa: Renowned R&B icon will host several events that elevate the vibe and celebration.
