Go Wild at Port Discovery! If your little ones are curious about wildlife, nature, and the great outdoors, Going Wild Weekend events on Saturday, March 25 & Sunday, March 26 are sure to make their eyes sparkle with curiosity and joy! Wildlife Adventures will be on hand all weekend long providing programs all about wildlife! Interact with live animals, learn about wildlife with fun programs like Living WILD, Wild Tales and UnWrap, UnRoll and UnWind, and enjoy animal-themed art projects where you can create Fire Breathing Dragons and Going Wild Masks! Plus, take part in interactive plays and theater performances.

Join Port Discovery to celebrate Glow Days during light city! Make glow-in-the-dark art, create bracelets that change color in UV light, and make a holographic projector that will have you seeing in 3D! Also take part in Eric Energy’s famous, interactive energy show “Spark Attack!”. From experiments with circuits, sound waves and different kinds of light to a real laser show, you’ll be glowing with fun and learning about light!

Countdown to Kindergarten

Join Port Discovery for a full day of fun and learning designed to help prepare parents and caregivers to successfully prepare emerging kindergartners for school! Countdown to Kindergarten features activities and programs focused on school readiness from Port Discovery and other family and educational organizations. Activities include interactive play sand performances, pop-up science projects, art projects, a live petting zoo from Wildlife Adventures, and music and dancing with both the Kindersinger and Mr. Norman. This program is also open to children who are not entering kindergarten.
