We’re making great progress on construction on new major exhibits and Museum improvements – and we’re so excited to share another sneak peek into the progress!
Check out the progress Lewis Contractors have made since our last construction update by watching our quick time lapse!
In the video, you can watch as the new exhibits come to life as Lewis Contractors have been hard at work since January constructing both the massive, four-story SkyClimber and The Port exhibit!
Check out how tall the SkyClimber steel structure is officially in position! Little learners will learn to take risks, enhance hand-eye coordination and more as they climb from the bottom of Port Discovery all the way to the top of the SkyClimber seen in the video.
Plus, if you watch closely towards the middle of the above video, you can watch the beginning of the Port exhibit’s blue, fully operating gantry crane and massive ship hull beginning to be constructed!

Enjoy our limited-time, unique play experience – The Construction Zone at The Atrium at Port Discovery sponsored by M&T Bank, open Fridays-Sunday! Design and make a Scribble Bot, build with giant life-sized building blocks, launch rockets towards the moon, create a theatrical play and more! Admission is free for Members & children under two. Visitors enter for $5 per person.

Enjoy Port Discovery’s FREE Pop-Up Play Space!
Spark your child’s imagination as you play and learn together at Port Discovery’s Pop-Up Play Space! Located at The Shops at Kenilworth, the Pop-Up Play Space features fun and educational activities, messy art (think paint!), and fun, hands-on building activities, as well as previews of the exciting new exhibits, to come at Port Discovery! The Pop-Up Play Space is open Saturdays 110 AM- 5 PM and Sundays 12 PM – 5 PM.
