Clear your calendars and dust off your coziest scarves — Baltimore’s Most Festive Weekend is sailing back into town on December 6th and 7th, and this year it’s bringing a brand-new treat: a FREE “Holiday Harbor Connector” water taxi that ferries you between four waterfront neighborhoods all weekend long. Yes, you can literally boat your way through holiday cheer.
A Free Ride to All the Fun
For two days only, the Holiday Harbor Connector will zip from Harborplace to Fells Point, Harbor East, Federal Hill, and Locust Point — making it easier than ever to explore dozens of festive happenings without the hassle of parking or the stress of traffic. Hop on, hop off, repeat.
The service is a collaboration between the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore and Baltimore City DOT, with support from local Main Street organizations, Christmas Village, Sail Local, and more of your favorite waterfront champions.
Waterfront Turned Winter Wonderland
Every corner of Baltimore’s waterfront gets a glow-up for Most Festive Weekend. Think twinkling decor, live performances, bustling markets, and more family-friendly activities than you can fit into a single itinerary (which is why — again — the water taxi is key).
Here are just a few of the highlights:
- Waterfront Partnership’s Holiday Makers Market — 60+ local artists, vintage vendors, small businesses, and delicious festive treats inside Harborplace’s Light Street Pavilion.
- Culturally Curated: Chic Sneaks Edition at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum — holiday style with cultural flair.
- Fells Point Old Tyme Christmas at Broadway Square — classic charm, cobblestone magic.
- Family Weekend at the Christmas Village in West Shore Park — hot cocoa energy is high.
- Sock Creature Saturday at AVAM — if you know, you know (and if you don’t, you should).
Lighted Boat Parade
On Saturday night, after a day of neighborhood hopping and market browsing, the harbor puts on its sparkliest outfit for the annual Lighted Boat Parade. Imagine dozens of illuminated boats twinkling across the water — it’s one of Baltimore’s longest-loved winter traditions, presented by Sail Baltimore and supporting the Southeast Exchange Club Toy Drive.
Maximizing Festive Vibes
When you’re heading downtown for the weekend’s fun, make travel a little more magical by planning ahead when it comes to parking your car.
Located at 55 Market Place, Harbor Park Garage is an ideal home base for the Most Festive Weekend. The grage, which is conveniently located just off major routes in and out of the city (including I-83), is located just steps from the Inner Harbor, with all its sparkle – and its water taxi stop.
Harbor Park is clean, well-lit, and reasonably priced – and it is open and staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a friendly crew of knowledgeable workers who are happy to add some fun to your time downtown.
