Well if you haven’t. it’s a Baltimore-based event in the vein of Austin’s SXSW Conference – a hybrid event including art installations, music and arts performances and speaking sessions and panels focused on topics around innovation. Light City 2016 was the first event of its kind in the area; it was a smashing success, drawing about 400,000 visitors to downtown Baltimore. It’s nearly springtime in the mid-Atlantic, which means Marylanders’ thoughts turn to the return of the Baltimore Orioles, high school graduations and all things outdoors. This spring, locals and tourists have something else to celebrate: Light City. Billed as “a festival of light, music and innovation,” Light City will transform Baltimore, both visually and intellectually. The event begins March 28th and runs through April 3rd.
