About the Convention

Ingrid OliverThe convention begins at noon on Friday, March 24 and lasts until Sunday at 5 p.m. Regular full weekend ticket prices, when purchased in advance are $80 in advance for adults ($90 at the door)Karen Gillan - Amy Pond and $20 for children 5-12. Single-day tickets are also available (Friday for $5, Saturday for $60, Sunday for $50) and there are several additional VIP options.
The lineup includes both Classic and New Doctor celebrities and creators. Guest include Sylvester McCoy (The Seventh Doctor), Karen Gillan (Amy Pond), Michelle Gomez (Missy), Ingrid Oliver (Petronella Osgood) and Katy Manning (Third Doctor Companion Jo Grant).

Michelle Gomez - MissyThe weekend will include autograph sessions, photo ops, scavenger hunts, viewings of Doctor Who videos, cosplay contests, a vendor’s room and a dedicatedKaty Manning - Jo Grant children’s program. Plus, there will be plenty of opportunities to converse with other fans and with those involved with the creation of the show.

There are about 80 different sessions and events planned, covering everything from moderated discussions with actors and conversations with Doctor Who writers to a travel guide helping fans plan Doctor Who tours, a how-to crash course on cosplay and a discussion of how people can use fandom to help overcome depression and anxiety. Plus, there will be numerous opportunities to discuss favorite episodes and seasons of the show itself and to meet up with other cosplayers and Doctor fans.

March weather in Baltimore varies, but no matter what the temperature, there are plenty of fun activities to explore in the Inner Harbor.

History buffs and anyone interested in the naval industry will be fascinated by the four historic ships located around the harbor and Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse, located on Pier 5.

Those with kids who have a little post-convention steam to burn off can hop over to Pierce’s Park, also pierce-park-pier-v-baltimorenear Pier 5, to wander and play on the playground.

And, of course, there’s shopping. Start at Harborplace, then walk east along the water, to Harbor East, where you’ll find some of the city’s glitziest shops, including the Under Armour Brand House.
