June 2020 Update: What to Expect when Parking at Harbor Park …

baltimore 2

As the Baltimore region begins to reopen following shutdowns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff and management of Harbor Park Garage are excited to welcome back regular parkers and to get to know those new to the garage. We’ve missed seeing you!

Every day, all year, Harbor Park Garage is committed to keeping its customers and employees safe. In light of COVID-19, we have instituted some new policies and procedures to minimize the impact of the novel coronavirus on our activities.

Some of these new approaches will be easy to spot around the garage, while others happen behind the scenes. Here is an overview of what we now have in place:

Cleaning

We have adopted strict guidelines to enhance existing procedures for keeping the facilities – especially areas people touch – clean. This includes new procedures for disinfecting daily with a surface antimicrobial agent and cleaning throughout the facility and increased frequency of cleaning the most frequently used areas of the garage, such as the entry and exit machines, the elevators and the lobby.

Personnel Policies

Harbor Park employees have received clear instructions about the personal hygiene and social distancing practices necessary to limit the spread of germs. We are encouraging employees who do not feel well to stay at home and instructing staff to be vigilant about handwashing and practicing safe distancing measures.

In addition, we will be using PPE, as recommended by the CDC, and have instituted daily health checks for staff members.

Touchless Monthly Parking

Long before the world knew the term COVID-19, Harbor Park installed License Plate Recognition to enable touchless parking access. If your license plate is not yet in our system, please send us an email at monthly@harborparkgarage.com with a picture of your license plate. The system allows for up to five vehicles to be included with your profile, although only one car will be allowed in at a time.

Sanitation Stations

You will now spot hand sanitizer stations throughout the garage, located in high traffic areas so they are convenient for both customers and employees.

Neighborhood Coordination

We are working closely with other businesses and neighborhood entities, including the management of the 750 E. Pratt building, to ensure a safe and smooth return to work transition for all.

Heart of the Park

img-2In late March we teamed up with Pierpoint Restaurant to provide free meals to anyone in need, no questions asked. So far we have distributed over 18,000 meals. We will keep this program going through to the end of June 2020. Please do not park in the lanes designated for this program. Please follow this link, if you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution or would like to find out more information about Heart of the Park.
